Outstanding Journalism on the Value of Water Nomination Form

Deadline: March 8th, 8:00pm EST

The US Water Prize, awarded annually by the US Water Alliance, celebrates outstanding achievement in advancing sustainable, integrated, and inclusive solutions to our nation’s water challenges. It is the pre-eminent national recognition program for exemplary efforts to secure a sustainable water future for all.

The US Water Prize for Outstanding Journalism on the Value of Water honors a member, or members, of the media who has demonstrated exemplary reporting on a water-related issue. The award is open to journalists and producers from newspapers, television and radio stations, magazines, and digital publications. This premier national award was created to recognize the positive impact that the media can have on building public understanding of the complicated and pressing water issues we face in America today. Inquisitive, intrepid reporters can elevate water issues beyond an “out-of-sight, out-of-mind” problem and help the public understand the true value of water, the importance of our nation’s water infrastructure, and the challenges and solutions to a sustainable water future.

The honoree will be celebrated and recognized with top leaders across the water sector and beyond at the US Water Prize ceremony on July 10th, 2018. The US Water Prize ceremony kicks off the One Water Summit, which runs from July 10-12th in the Twin Cities.
