We are committed to matching the right dog to the right family so all will have many happy years together. Our adoption process includes the completion of an application, veterinary reference, phone interview, adoption donation, and adoption agreement. The application is the first step in the process, and the fastest way to begin the process is to submit your completed adoption application.

The more elaborate and detailed your answers are, the better we are able to determine your "fit" with the dog you are applying for and will decrease the amount of time it will take to process it. One word answers, when there could be a more detailed answer, will simply delay the process.

All dogs, any age, can go through a major amount of stress when they leave the only home and family they have ever known, leave the only other animals they have ever known, and go into a new home with more strangers and more animals. It would be a lot for anyone - dog - cat - human - to handle, some dogs acclimate more easily than others. It is important for all dogs to be given time to decompress and become aware that they are safe in their new surroundings. Adoption donations vary per dog depending on the extent of vet care that was required. The individual adoption donation is posted on each dog's petfinder profile, the standard ADOPTION donation is $395/dog UNLESS posted otherwise on their petfinder/adopt-a-pet bio. The adoption donation goes to fund medical care, food and shelter for all of our animals, not merely the one you are applying for. Will you comply? *

Once all questions have been answered and your application approved, the dog would need to come north on our next avaialble transport. (There is not a place to "hold" the dog for you to meet first.)
