The Middle School Summer Arts Sessions  held at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts is an introductory-level performing arts experience, focused on Music, Dance, Theater, and Digital Arts. This program will offer rising 5th graders through rising 8th graders instruction, hands-on activities, and performance experiences facilitated by mastery-level teaching artists and performers.
 
WHEN:
Monday, June 23rd - Thursday, July 3rd (No weekend days)
9:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Families are responsible for organizing transportation for their children.
  • Students should be dropped off between 8:30 and 9:00 am and picked up between 4:00 and 4:30 pm each day.
  • Accepted students are expected to attend every day of the program. Families should notify Ensemble Arts Philly staff if students need to miss a day due to illness.

The Ensemble Arts Philly High School Summer Arts Sessions is a free 3-week, intermediate – advanced level performing arts experience, focused on Singing, Acting, and Dancing. This program will offer rising 9th through rising 12th graders skill-building classes, masterclasses, audition preparation, as well as rehearsal and culminating performance in a Musical Theater production. Acceptance to camp is audition-based.

Monday, July 7th - Friday, July 25th (No weekend days)
9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Audition Information

Audition Requirements:
In addition to this application form, applicants are required to either attend an in-person audition or submit a virtual audition.
 
Please prepare:
  •  a 36-measure segment of a musical theater song that represents your vocal type.
  •  either a dance excerpt between 30 seconds to one minute in length
      OR
      a short monologue from a musical.
 
Audition Details:
In-person auditions will take place at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts on March 8th, 15th, and 22nd between 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. You will be notified by email of your audition time for the date you select.
 
If you select to submit your audition virtually, we will email you instructions on how to submit your audition.
