We appreciate your interest in considering outdoor public space as a location for an upcoming event. This form serves as your request for an invitation to apply for an Outdoor Special Event Permit. The City of Asheville uses the information provided to make decisions about the permitted use of public space for events. Decisions are based on factors such as community benefit, capacity, impact, logistics, and balancing various public interests.
Inquiries are considered
as early as 6 months in advance of the event date and
as late as 8 weeks in advance of the event date. Please allow up to two weeks for City review and determination. Approved requests will receive an invitation to apply for permits with a link to the permit application system. Application deadlines are based on attendance and are due as early as 4 months in advance to as late as 6 weeks in advance of the event date.
