Outdoor Public Space Event Use Inquiry

Thank you for your interest in using Asheville's outdoor public space for an upcoming event. Whether you're interested in reserving a City park, a public street or sidewalk, or other City-owned land for a special event or festival, this form serves as your request for an invitation to apply for an Outdoor Special Event Permit. The City of Asheville uses the information provided to make decisions about the permitted use of public space for events. Decisions are based on factors such as community benefit, capacity, impact, logistics, and balancing various public interests.
 
Inquiries are considered as early as 10 months in advance of the event date. After that time, please allow up to two weeks for City review and determination. We'll be in touch with any questions. Approved requests will receive an invitation to apply for permits. And keep in mind that once you receive an invitation to apply, permit applications are due 42-90 days in advance of the event date (based on attendance).
