This is an awesome opportunity for you to take on responsibility, learn new skills, be a leader and have fun! Your interest in the program speaks well of your character and we look forward to meeting you. Country Life Kids Camp is a challenging and rewarding experience. Your days as a SIT will be spent with a wide array of activities.
It is important to understand that being a SIT is a responsibility. Be sure that you are willing and prepared to meet the challenges presented by this position. Use the application to tell us why you are the right person for this role.
Please remember:
1. A SIT must be willing to participate with enthusiasm; participation and enthusiasm are an important part of leadership.
2. A SIT must come to camp prepared - prepared to work with staff and campers, to learn new skills, and to bring a positive attitude.
3. A SIT is a role model for campers and is held to higher behavioral standards than campers; we expect SIT’s to be mature in their actions and words.
4. Ohio Job and Family Services (OJFS) require all volunteers to have a complete background check prior to the first day of camp. If you think you’re ready to take on the challenge of being a SIT then it’s time to fill out your application and submit it to Country Life Kids Camp.
