Thank you for your interest in the Country Life Kids Camp's Staff-in-Training (SIT) program! This program is designed for high school graduates and ollege students.
This is an incredible opportunity for you to take on responsibility, learn new skills, be a leader, and have fun! Your interest in the program speaks well of your character, and we look forward to meeting you. Country Life Kids Camp offers a challenging and rewarding experience, with your days as a SIT filled with a wide array of activities.
Important Points to Remember:
- Participation and Enthusiasm: A SIT must be willing to participate with enthusiasm. Participation and enthusiasm are key aspects of leadership.
- Preparedness: A SIT must come to camp prepared to work with staff and campers, learn new skills, and bring a positive attitude.
- Role Model: A SIT is a role model for campers and is held to higher behavioral standards. We expect SITs to be mature in their actions and words.
- Background Check: Ohio Job and Family Services (OJFS) requires all volunteers to complete a background check prior to the first day of camp.
Application Process:
- Indicate Availability: Near the top of the application form, please indicate the dates you are interested in joining us. There is a 2-week minimum requirement for all SITs.
- Personal References: You will need two personal references from unrelated adults who know you well (e.g., teacher, coach, family friend).
Upon acceptance into the program, you will receive a welcome letter with more specific information.
