Thank you for your interest in the Country Life Kids Camp Counselor-in-Training program (CCIT).
This is an awesome opportunity for you to take on responsibility, learn new skills, be a leader and have fun! Your interest in the program speaks well of your character and we look forward to meeting you. Country Life Kids Camp is a challenging and rewarding experience. Your days as a CCIT will be spent with a wide array of activities.
It is important to understand that being a CCIT is a responsibility. Be sure that you are willing and prepared to meet the challenges presented by this position. Use the application to tell us why you are the right person for this role.
Please remember:
1. A CCIT must be willing to participate with enthusiasm; participation and enthusiasm are an important part of leadership.
2. A CCIT must come to camp prepared - prepared to work with staff and campers, to learn new skills, and to bring a positive attitude.
3. A CCIT is a role model for campers and is held to higher behavioral standards than campers; we expect CCIT’s to be mature in their actions and words.
4. Ohio Job and Family Services (OJFS) require all volunteers to have a complete background check prior to the first day of camp. If you think you’re ready to take on the challenge of being a CCIT then it’s time to fill out your application and submit it to Country Life Kids Camp.
Near the begininning of this form, please indicate which weeks you will be joining us. There is a 4 week minimum requirement for all CCIT. You will also need two personal references from an unrelated adult who knows you well (e.g., teacher, coach, family friend). Upon acceptance into the program, you will receive a welcome letter with more specific information.
Thank you again for your interest in becoming a CCIT. If you have any questions, please see our website, or contact us at the above address. Country Life Kids Camp is preparing for a great summer and we hope you’ll join us!
