RGVPAS Board of Directors Application

Thank you for your interest in running for RGVPAS's Board of Directors. Please review the position descriptions below. All election application material must be submitted by May 15th, 2024. The leadership term will start July 1, 2024. Please contact us with any questions: admin@rgvpas.org

All applicants and nomineess must be an active Fellow member of the RGVPAS.

President Elect

This position is a one-year term that succeeds in serving as President and then Immediate-Past President of RGVPAS. The President shall preside at all meetings and will oversee all the operations of the organization in collaboration with the Board of Directors. The President-Elect will work with the President in all endeavors related to the operation of the organization. Directors are expected to attend all board meetings and annual conference.

Vice President

When the President is absent, is unable to act, or refuses to act, the Vice President shall perform the duties of the President. When the Vice President acts in place of the President, the Vice President shall have all the powers of and be subject to all the restrictions upon the President. If there is more than one Vice President, the Vice Presidents shall act in place of the President in the order of the votes received when elected. A The Vice President shall perform other duties as assigned by the President or Board of Directors. Term of office is 2 years.

Secretary

The Secretary will keep minutes of all meetings of the organization, shall have access to all membership data and shall notify members of all meetings. The Secretary shall perform such duties as may be assigned by the President and/or BOD.

Term of office is 2 years.

Member at Large ( 1 open seat)

The Member-at-Large shall perform such duties as may be assigned by the President and/or BOD.

Term of office is 2 years.

Director at Large

Shall have the overall responsibility for representing the concerns of the general membership and ensuring the fiduciary viability of the Association. Shall serve as a Board Advisor to a Standing Committee as determined by the President. Shall be informed on all items of business to come before the Board for discussion and resolution.
