APA-AAI Board of Directors Application

Thank you for your interest in running for APA-AAI's Board of Directors. Please review the position descriptions below. All election application material must be submitted by August 31st, 2024.

Please note that you or the person you are nominating must be an active Fellow PA or Lifetime member of APA-AAI and current on membership dues with AAPA as well.

President Elect

The President Elect shall automatically succeed the preceding President as President of the Corporation, and the outgoing President shall remain as a voting member of the Board for one (1) year as the Immediate Past President. The President Elect shall, in the absence or disability of the President, perform the duties and exercise the powers of the President, and shall perform such duties as shall be prescribed by the Board. The President-elect shall organize and conduct, with the assistance of the Secretary, all annual elections and serve as chairperson of the Elections Committee, and shall perform such other duties as assigned by the President or the Board. This is a 3 year commitment ( 1 year as President Elect, 1 year as President and 1 year as Immidate Past President).

Treasurer

The Treasurer shall have custody of the corporate funds and securities of the Corporation and shall keep full and accurate accounts of receipts and disbursements in books belonging to the Corporation and shall deposit all monies and other valuable effects in the name and to the credit of the Corporation in such depositories as may be designated by the Board. The Treasurer shall disburse the funds of the Corporation as may be ordered by the Board, taking proper vouchers for such disbursements, and shall render to the President and the Board at its regular meetings or when the Board so requires an account of all transactions as treasurer and of the financial condition of the Corporation. The Treasurer’s records shall be audited every year and upon leaving office in the manner set by the Board. Term is 2 years.

Member at Large

Member-at-Large shall participate in board meetings, serve as an advisor on topics related to APA-AAI and shall perform such other duties as shall be assigned by the President of Board of Directors. Term is 2 years.
