6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
The Advanced Trauma Life Support® (ATLS®) program was developed by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Committee on Trauma (COT) and provides a systematic, concise approach to the care of a trauma patient. The course teaches you how to assess a patient’s condition rapidly and accurately, resuscitate and stabilize the patient, and determine if the patient’s needs exceed a facility’s capabilities.
The ATLS® refresher course is a 1/2 day course which includes review of the ATLS® process (testing, triage, and initial assessment) and review of select skills. It is held on the same day as the one-day provider course.
Refresher requirement: Participants must have a current ATLS® certification or within 6-months of expiration.
