Welcome!
Carnegie Kids’ College 2024 is a two-week summer arts and sciences program that provides an opportunity
for children entering kindergarten through seventh grade to expand their learning in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. The primary objective of Kids’ College is to spark creativity and to help each child develop a love of learning through art and science. Children will have the chance to explore different art forms and identify new skills within themselves. Class sizes are limited so that students will have a chance to interact directly with their teachers. All classes are held at Carnegie Hall.

You will be notified of your child’s schedule before Kids’ College begins.
Changes to a child's schedule will be accepted NO LATER THAN the first day of each week of Kids' College
and will be based upon class availability at that time.
 
Cost is $150 per session for Grades 2-7, and $175 for Grades K&1
(Grades K and 1 attend morning sessions only)
Sessions = 3 morning classes OR 2 afternoon classes, either week.

Scholarships
Limited scholarship assistance is available to qualifying applicants.
To receive a scholarship application, select the scholarship request option at the bottom of this page. 
The deadline to request a Scholarship for Kids' College 2024 is Friday, June 7, 2024.
 
You will be notified of the Scholarship Committee's Decision by June 17, 2024.
 
 
 
 
Morning Session:  
Class A   9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
Class B   10:10 a.m.-11:10 a.m.
**Morning Recess 11:10 a.m.-11:25 a.m.**  
Class C   11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
 
Afternoon Session:
Class D   1:00 p.m.-2:20 p.m.
**Afternoon Recess 2:20 p.m.-2:35 p.m.**
Class E   2:40 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
Arrival Times
MORNING SESSION:
Mondays ONLY arrival by 8:30 a.m, Tuesday-Friday: 8:50 a.m.
AFTERNOON SESSION:
Monday-Friday: 12:50 p.m. (for those taking Afternoon Session only)
 
Pick Up Times
MORNING SESSION: 12:30 p.m. (for those taking Morning Session only)     
AFTERNOON SESSION: 4:00 p.m. 
 
Drop-off & Pick Up Location
Drop off and pick up occurs at the doors to the Hamilton Auditorium, at the front entrance of Carnegie Hall.
 **Children must be accompanied by an approved representative for pick up, unless otherwise arranged with the Carnegie Hall staff.
 
Snacks & Lunch
Snacks will be provided by Greenbrier County Schools for both the morning and afternoon recess.
Children attending both morning and afternoon sessions should bring their own lunch.
 
Friday Student Showcases
Showcases to exhibit student performing and visual arts are held on Friday of each week, from 12:30-1:00 p.m. for morning classes and from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for afternoon classes.
Students that attend all day have the option of participating in both Showcases,
and each showcase will have a different program.
Families are encouraged to attend and support their Kids' College students!

CLASS REGISTRATION GRADES K-1

Registration for K-1 classes is restricted to rising K and 1st grade students that are at least 5 years of age by the first week of Kids' College.
Pre-School students or students 4 or under will not be accepted. 
 
Students in Grades K-1 are automatically enrolled in three morning session classes:
Art for Kids
Movement for Kids
Music for Kids
K-1 Students DO NOT select classes from the list below.
 
Students rotate between all three classes each day, and are dismissed 
from the Old Stone Room at 12:30.
Each K-1 student MUST have a parent or guardian present to pick them up at dismissal.
