MICA Summer Travel Intensives 2018

Each year we have been fortunate to be able to award a limited number of scholarships for our Summer Travel Intensives. These funds come from the Winifred Gordon ‘28 Summer Travel Intensives Award or in the form of Open Studies Merit Scholarships.

To be considered for the Winifred Gordon Scholarship, students must be current MICA Undergraduates, have a GPA of 2.75 or higher and must demonstrate both need and merit to be considered. Award amounts range from $200-$500.

All students are eligible for the Open Studies Merit awards. Award amounts range from $100-$500.

Requirements for this application include:

- A portfolio of 6-10 images of recent work

- A recent unofficial transcript

- An essay (1 page) detailing why you wish to attend and why you are applying for scholarship

Notification

Students who turn in a completed Scholarship Application form by the December 1, 2017 Priority Deadline will hear from the Open Studies department within two weeks if we are able to award a scholarship. Students may still apply for scholarship after the priority deadline, but later applicants will be held and reviewed with the February 2 Registration deadline.

Remember to attach your portfolio, an unofficial college transcript and your essay.
