California Intercontinental University offers students in good academic and financial standing the opportunity to request a Leave of Absence (LOA) to accommodate unforeseen circumstances. LOAs can be requested for no more than one term (6 weeks) per academic year. The deadline to request a LOA is Monday of the last week of the term, or the 6th Monday of a term.

Eligibility for Leave
In order to request LOA, students must be in good standing and have completed the first three terms or one semester of their program. Military students are eligible for extended LOAs if deployment documentation is submitted. Requests for LOA under extraordinary circumstances will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis upon submission of supporting documentation and letters
